I. The Great Gatsby
Below you will find the three PowerPoints you need to review to prepare for the Realism/Naturalism/Modernism sections of the exam. I encourage you to make a list of 5-7 key elements of each literary movement to prepare for these sections.
Begin watching The Great Gatsby
Finish the novel by Monday. Prepare for our last graded discussion of the year with the questions/prompts you were provided in class yesterday.
Close reading of several passages from The Great Gatsby. Please see me if you were absent today and need to make this up.
Essays due tonight at 11:59pm!
Workday for Cuckoo's Nest essay or reading day for The Great Gatsby.
Essays are due tomorrow night at 11:59pm. We will discuss Gatsby in class tomorrow!

Today, we spent the first half of class today working on our Cuckoo’s Nest essays. I gave the first twenty minutes to work and then I came around to check progress. If you missed class today, please make sure to check in with me.
We also had a brief discussion of the first chapter of The Great Gatsby. Homework over the weekend is to read chapters 2 & 3 of Gatsby.
